Overview
NexLog OS ESG treats sustainability as part of execution: CO2e, eco-routing, CBAM, automatic offsetting (Offset Automation), AI-Pack, Reverse Chain Economics and Waste & Packaging Intelligence, with Digital Product Passport through GS1, GTIN, SSCC and GS1 Digital Link.
CO2e is an accounting unit. Every movement, shipment and order generates an entry in the carbon ledger, with double-entry and auditing, and reports are produced on demand, without spreadsheets.
Core entities
The canonical ESG model gives each entity a display name and an English code name (the MongoDB collection), shared with WMS, TMS, OMS, Control Tower and Finance.

Circular economy
Reverse Chain Economics manages the Returnable Asset (returnableAssets): pallets, racks, containers and reusable packaging, tracked by SSCC and GTIN, with a native return flow.
Each asset accumulates service life, return cost and loss, which turns the circular economy into an operational routine. Waste & Packaging Intelligence completes the picture with analysis of discarded, recyclable and reused packaging.

ESG is not a report, it is execution
Carbon Ledger as CO2e accounting
Most platforms treat CO2e as an annual report calculated in a spreadsheet. In NexLog OS, CO2e is an accounting unit: every physical movement (movements), every shipment (shipments) and every order (orders) generates an entry (carbonEntries), for emission or offset, with double-entry and auditing.
Credits (carbonCredits) back the offsets and live in the same ledger. This enables on-demand, CBAM-ready reports with SKU-level depth.
Eco-routing, AI-Pack and circular economy
Eco-routing considers cost, CO2e and SLA in routing and opens room for modal shift whenever economically viable. AI-Pack chooses the packaging that minimizes cubic volume and freight and, as a result, emissions.
Reverse Chain Economics manages the Returnable Asset (returnableAssets) with service life, return cost and loss, and brings the circular economy into day-to-day operations.
Digital Product Passport
The DPP is the digital product passport: origin, composition, chain of custody and environmental footprint accessible by QR code. NexLog OS implements the DPP through GS1, GTIN, SSCC and GS1 Digital Link, integrated with the MDM Product Master.
This prepares the operation for European regulation (ESPR), institutional ESG reporting and end consumers' demand for transparency.
